Throughout the year we perform at events in Hampshire and the surrounding
counties and also attend social events, such as Regency Balls, in
other parts of the country. These not only offer an opportunity
to show off our skills, but also to meet others who share an interest
in Jane Austen and the Regency period.

Since 2005 we have held an annual Grand Costumed Ball, each with
a different theme. Guests arrive in period costume to enjoy the
popular dances of the time, such as 'Auretti's Dutch Skipper', 'The
Duke of Kent's Waltz', 'The Mozart Cotillion' and 'The Lancer's
Quadrille'. All dances are called and walked through beforehand
and there is a workshop in the afternoon to familiarise guests with
the steps.
The Annual Ball is a grand affair and held in one of the beautiful
18th century halls where Jane Austen would have attended Assemblies.
Guests come from Europe, the United States and even further afield
to dance the authentic dances, in authentic costume and in an authentic
setting.
Tickets usually sell out months in advance so be sure to book early
as numbers are limited by the size of the halls in which they are
held.

During the year we dance public displays in a variety of venues
and we would be delighted if you came to see us dance.
Immerse yourself in the romance and elegance of Jane Austens
day the time of Beau Brummell and the Prince Regent, Miss
Elizabeth Bennett and the smouldering Mr Darcy. Learn about fashions
and the language of the fan. Meet and mingle with the Hampshire
Regency Dancers in period costume. Watch us dance and join in some
of the dances with us!

For our Members we also organise social events, which vary widely.
We have held costume workshops, Regency picnics, walks and visits
to local museums to see original costumes of the period.
